THE GOLFCHECK FIELD GUIDE

How to read your swing report

Start with the movement, then use the numbers as context.

Look at the swing first

Replay your clip. Your report brings together observations about setup, backswing, downswing, impact, follow-through and finish.

Read scores in context

Scores describe the movement visible in this recording. They are not a handicap, a prediction of ball flight or a comparison with every golfer.

Pick one focus

Use the report to choose one movement to watch in your next practice session. An observation is a starting point for practice or a conversation with your coach.

Understand the limits

Single-camera video produces two-dimensional estimates. It does not directly measure launch-monitor data such as ball speed, carry distance or clubface angle.
